Yahoo Messenger:

To enjoy the Yahoo Messenger for Windows, you must meet or exceed the following requirements:

• Windows 98/2000/Me/XP
• Microsoft Internet Explorer - 5.5 or higher
• Macromedia Flash Player - 6.0 or higher
• Windows Media Player - 7 or higher
• Webcam - Messenger compatible
• DSP Group TrueSpeechTM audio compression (CODEC)
• Broadband Internet connection (LAUNCHcast)
• A microphone, sound card, and speakers, or headset

Please Note: Yahoo Messenger no longer supports Windows 95 and NT.

In order to use Skype software for Windows, your computer must meet the following minimum system requirements:

• PC running Windows 2000 or XP
• 400 MHz processor
• 128 MB RAM
• 15 MB free disk space on your hard drive
• Sound Card, speakers and microphone
• Internet Connection (either dial-up: minimum 33.6 Kbps modem, or any broadband: cable, DSL, etc.)

However, in order to take advantage of all of the advanced features of Skype and to experience the best sound quality possible, we highly recommend the following configuration:

• PC running Windows 2000 or XP
• 1 GHz processor
• 256 MB RAM
• 30 MB free space on your hard drive
• Full duplex sound card (most sound cards made after 1998), headset
• Cable, DSL or equivalent broadband connection to Internet

In order to use Skype for Mac OS X, your computer must meet the following minimum system requirements:

• Macintosh computer with G3, G4, or G5 processor
• Mac OS X v 10.3 (Panther) or newer
• 128 MB RAM
• 20 MB free disk space on your hard drive
• Microphone
• Internet Connection (either dial-up: minimum 33.6 Kbps modem, or any broadband: cable, DSL, etc.)

However, in order to take advantage of all of the advanced features of Skype for Mac OS X and to experience the best sound quality possible, we highly recommend the following configuration:

• Macintosh with PowerPC G4 running Mac OS X v10.3
• 400 MHz processor
• 256 MB RAM
• 30 MB free space on your hard drive
• Either USB or regular headset
• Cable, DSL or equivalent broadband connection to Internet

Macintosh Skype with Video - beta "preview":

• Macintosh computer with G4 800 Mhz processor or faster
• Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or newer
• 512 MB RAM
• 40 MB free disk space on your hard drive
• Microphone
• Webcam: Suggested webcams include Apple iSight, Philips SPC900NC, or Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000. Drivers for the Philips and Logitech webcams can be downloaded from http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/.
• Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection).

• a high-speed connection to the Internet
• a webcam
• an active, free Yahoo! account.

iChat / iSight for Mac:

• iChat AV Software

• FireWire for audio, video and power connection
